This Aquarium's History This 150-gallon aquarium has been custom built
into a stairwell. Can you believe that this aquarium was being
professionally maintained by a "professional company"? Yuck! This
aquarium had just about every bad algae from here to Timbuktu in
it. You name it, hair algae, red-slime algae, nuance algae, it had
it all. The maintenance company had obviously been taking advantage
of these clients. |

This Aquarium's History This aquarium is a
150-gallon Dutch Aquarium System room divider. You can view the
aquarium from 3 sides. This before picture was taken after about
the third time we had maintained the aquarium. When we first
stepped into the aquarium, it was an absolute mess. It was being
taken care of by a vet tech who was trying very hard with the
advice of someone at Petco™, but really had no idea what she was
doing. The aquarium had a massive overgrowth of algae, no sand bed,
insufficient lighting for a reef, the filter had been modified way
off of manufactures specs and was not working properly. The owner
of the aquarium expressed the desire to move into a reef aquarium,
and that is what we proceeded to do. The after picture is not the
finished masterpiece, because the masterpiece is still
developing. |
Before & After 3 This aquarium is a
lovely 125-gallon custom built-in that sits on the 2-½ story of a
home in Colleyville. You can view the aquarium from both sides, the
first side as you climb the stairs, and the second side can be
viewed from the game room on the 2-½ story. When we started this
aquarium, the homeowner was looking for a maintenance company to
keep it clean and spruce it up a little because they were selling
the house. This reflects stages 1 and 2. Stage 3 came after
the house was sold, and the new owners wanted to convert it to an
African Cichlid Aquarium. |
